My name is Layli and I am relatively tall with dark brown hair and cold hands (warm heart..). I am half Persian, a quarter Indian and a quarter German, some say ‘an interesting mix’, my English teacher prefers ‘mongrel’… Born in Bath, with life spent in Guyana, Malaysia and Dubai. Lucky to be able to see that “the earth is but one country and mankind its citizens”. Wiltshire living is a very sheltered life. Which is in itself dangerous in some ways… I do love the countryside though.

I enjoy much about life. I love to read and to understand and to not understand but to strive to understand. I love to meet new people and spend time with people I have already met and love. I love to paint and create and celebrate the beauty in life. I also love sitting in art doing nothing and talking about ridiculous subjects that we can never find the answers to. I love pottery. I love dancing and ballet and Miss Victoria my ballet teacher. I love the Baha’i Faith and the hope that it instills and the purpose that it gives to this transient life.
“All men have been created to carry forward an everadvancing civilisation”.
I like making up ridiculous similes. I am like a shrew. Foraging for meaning in this vast forest that is life.
Interesting first blog, i like the mention of art however feeling more detail is needed about our food and social lessons, maybe have a seperate blog to allow debate from others about such religious, political and relationship issues that arise in those lessons.
